2 Liberty Place is pleased to announce the rollout of the Fujitec EZ SHUTTLE Destination Dispatch system!
Our elevators will be outfitted with state of the art programming which will shorten ride times and reduce crowding in the elevators.
How does this work?
When the installation is complete, every badgeholder will swipe his/her badge on one of our new “smart” turnstiles. The EZ SHUTTLE system then guides each badgeholder to an assigned elevator which will have been selected to minimize the number of destination stops.
When will this upgrade be in place?
Destination dispatch should be fully operational by May 1. Behind-the-scenes software programming has been underway for several months. Beginning next week, you will see equipment modifications that will be implemented in a series of steps.
Each floor has 2 sets of elevator Call Buttons. One set of Call Buttons will be disengaged while the new EZ SHUTTLE panel is installed, and the other set will remain operational. This work will begin in the South Tower on Monday, February 19th and will take approximately 7-8 days to complete.
Existing elevator indicator lights will be removed and replaced with an Elevator Letter Flag. These lights are the round lights which are illuminated when the car arrives at your floor. When EZShuttle is fully operational, a swipe of your badge will direct you to the correct elevator, identified by a Letter.
Until EZ Shuttle is fully operational, the elevators will sound as the doors open and a directional arrow will appear in the newly installed Digital Floor Indicator (black glass panel installed in the elevator car’s door frame).
We will notify you in advance when Step 2 will be implemented.
Installation of new “smart” turnstiles.
The new turnstile -elevator interface programming will be tested for approximately 1 – 2 weeks and then we will “go live.”
Once “live,” Fujitec will return to each floor and replace the 2nd set of call buttons with a new EZ Shuttle panel.
Over the next 2 years, each of our 16 elevators will be modernized. One car in the South Tower and one in the North Tower will be taken out of service at a time. The end result will be a totally renovated elevator operating system and a totally new cab design.
We will provide updates throughout the process,
so stay tuned for more exciting information.

In memory of Nathan Moore who suddenly passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018:
Nathan faithfully served as a Security Officer at Two Liberty Place for close to 4 years and was assigned the 3pm to 11pm shift at the security freight desk. He spent most of his career in law enforcement until his retirement. He then decided to pursue a career as a Security Officer. Throughout his employment at Two Liberty Place, Nathan was very dedicated and would arrive for duty 2 hours ahead of his assigned shift. He was a very effective leader and role model for the newer Security Officers. Nathan will be remembered for telling everyone to “have a blessed day.” We are forever grateful for his wisdom and dedication at Two Liberty Place.
